Lauren Culver is a multifaceted musician in the Chicagoland area. She began her violin studies at the age of 4 at the Western Springs School of Talent Education under Ed Kreitman and later Tom Wermuth. She studied violin performance and music education at the Chicago College of Performing Arts at Roosevelt University, graduating in 2023. There, she studied with Almita Vamos and held the position of principal second violin in the CCPA Chamber Orchestra. Lauren plans to continue her education by pursuing a master's degree in viola performance at Northwestern University beginning in Fall of 2026.

Lauren frequently performs in local orchestras and chamber ensembles. She is the principal violist in the Southwest Symphony. She frequently subs in the Salt Creek Chamber Orchestra, West Suburban Symphony, and Northwest Symphony Orchestra. In addition to orchestral playing, Lauren is a passionate chamber music musician. She is a frequent performer in the Four Seasons Chamber Music Society and regularly performs in ensembles with colleagues and friends.

Teaching is another passion of Lauren's. She holds a Professional Educator License and is currently teaching beginning orchestra in District 181. Outside of public school teaching, Lauren has maintained a private violin and viola studio where she develops technique and musicality within her students.

In addition to teaching and performing, Lauren is an avid composer and arranger. Her piece, Into the Dragon's Lair, is published with DogSmile Music, and three more works are currently being developed with the company. Composing and arranging are a hobby of Lauren's, and more works can be found on her Youtube channel.
